Mason Richardson has completed a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Mason served in the Utah Provo mission.  He graduated from Ooltewah High School in 2015.  His future plans are to return to Utah and begin college in the fall semester at Utah Valley University.

“To sum up my two year experience in one sentence, I would say this,” Mason said.  “Jesus Christ has a love for everybody and everyone can change with Christ’s help.”

“I am grateful for the opportunity I had to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ with so many,” Mason continued.  “So many people, whether rich or poor, share a desire for something more meaningful than material goods.  That’s because Jesus Christ is the Truth, the Light, and the Way.  His Way lead to happiness and peace, and I am thankful I was able to witness the joy that comes to those who follow Him.”

Mason also spoke of how on a preparation day he and some other missionaries were able to climb Spanish Fork Peak – about 11,000 feet high.  He said how small and insignificant they felt in comparison to the mountain around them.  At the same time, Mason said, they understood the significant role that each one of us in this world plays in God’s plan.  To God, we are everything.

Mason is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy and Tanya Richardson.  He has three siblings – Callan, Avery and Grace.  They attend The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 3067 Ooltewah Ringgold in Ooltewah.
