Tennessee Reconnect Information Session Is April 7

A Tennessee Reconnect information session, hosted by Chattanooga State Community College, will be held Saturday, April 7, 10 a.m. at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 N. Chamberlain Ave. 

Chattanooga State seeks to locate and re-engage adults as a part of Tennessee's Drive to 55 campaign. It is looking for qualifying students to help in financing the education they desire right now.

Those interested in going back to school are invited to attend this free information session.

Alpine Crest Elementary Fall Festival Set For Sept. 28

Alpine Crest Elementary Fall Festival will be held on Friday, Sept. 28 from 4:30-8 p.m. at the school, 4700 Stagg Road in Red Bank. There will be inflatables, a chili cook off, petting zoo, face painting, vendors, food and more. Mother Of 15-Year-Old Killed By His Father Said McElrath Had Been Acting "Manic"

The mother of a 15-year-old boy who was killed by his father said Michael McElrath had been acting "manic" in the days leading up to the tragic incident in Hixson on Aug. 18. Judge Alex McVeigh bound a charge of criminal homicide against McElrath, a former jail officer, to the Grand Jury.
