DAR Honors Founder's Day, 127 Years Later

On Oct. 11, 1890, the Daughters of the American Revolution were founded.  To honor this day on Oct. 11, 2017, the Chattanooga Regent’s Council presented a signed proclamation to Mary Helms, manager in the Local History and Genealogy Department at the Chattanooga Public Library. 

"We would like to thank Chattanooga Mayor Andy Burke and County Mayor Jim Coppinger for signing these proclamations for DAR Day of Service," officials said.

Employee Who Stole From East Ridge Should Be Prosecuted

Why has the East Ridge employee who was fired for theft not been charged with theft?    City Manager Scott Miller made the statement that the employee had problems and that the stolen items were returned.  What does that have to do with the employee stealing ?   He has had a history of abuse of city resources.
